House Hold Insurance Policy

The Householders Insurance policy is a package policy offering several individual policies together at an economical rates for the Oriental Insurance Company & ICICI Lombard India.

What does it cover:

Fire Insurance
Burglary
All Risks Insurance
Plate Glass Insurance
Break down of Domestic Appliances (Electrical and mechanical failures)
Television including VCR & VCP and music systemsPedal cycle Insurance
Personal baggage insurance
Personal accident
Public liability & Employers Liability.

What is the Benefits

Only one proposal form is to be filled for several individual policies. The cumbersome procedure of filling several forms is eliminated.

HOUSE-HOLDER INSURANCE

  1. Identify the items that need to be insured.
  2. List them with their values. Ensure that the value is the full value.
  3. SI for liability is on reimbursement basis and is limited to the amount chosen.
  4. Ensure that there is no misstatement, or misrepresentation since the proposal is the basis of the contract.
  5. The liability of the Company does not commence until the proposal has been accepted and full premium paid.

CLAIMS

  1. Give immediate notice of claim.
  2. Obtain the claim form from the Company (also available on our website) and provide full details of the loss; as sought in the form.
  3. Do not dispose off / destroy damaged property, if any, till company permits such disposal.
  4. Take necessary steps to minimize loss and keep the Insurance Company apprised.
  5. Please ensure that no bribe is given to anyone on account of settlement of claim. Please report any such demand immediately to the Oriental Insurance Company.
